Anon in Equestria thread Anonymous 03/03/2022 (Thu) 13:17:12 No. 7542
Haven't seen one of these yet. Post about our favorite green guy in the magical land of Equestria.
>>25970 I think a major factor in that would be proximity. Are humans across the other side of the world, less in touch with the other races they share Equus with? There'd probably be a stigma, sure. Less about "being with an animal" and more "being with an outsider", given how the amount of quadrupedal sapient races outnumber the bipeds. If the human nation is more active on the world stage, I imagine it'd be a lot more accepted.

>>26926 >Equus It's Earth, you dummy

Does it get any better than this?
>>26939 >Earth Ponies named the land "Earth" after themselves.
>>27240 >Pinkie Pie and Applejack carry an odd hint of smugness around the rest of the Mane 6 after Anon touts the beauty of Earth's natural features.
Why are the fics where the hie is nice so shitty but when the aie is nice its funny

>>29462 After having thought it over, I do have a few theories: The first being that aie, despite being called Anon, isn't actually trying to be a direct self-insert as much as hie; so he ends up just naturally being less obnoxious. Second theory could just be that Anon himself is more of a character than a blank slate, so there's more to work off of from the get-go, and making it less of an uphill battle for writers. Third and final theory, is that hie usually just requires more lore to work, so writers end up focusing too much on that, and not enough on their human characters, causing them to come off as awkward (much like my shitty writing). Sorry if you were expecting a meme answer. Here's a goofy gif.

>>29462 Oh, and this meme isn't that far from the truth. >We don't lack good HIE stories; we lack the literary giants to pen them. Any writer trying to make a hie story that isn't just shameless smut, would probably just be better off creating their own pony and human inhabited world, with its own lore instead.
